This happened to me so many times, I just bought the shirt

I think three players is the way to go. Any more than that and it's hard to affect the people not sitting next to you. I love the kind of push and pull, and deciding if you want to give yourself points, but give your opponent an ability, or vice versa. It kind of feels like a good game that could be great, but I've only played once.

Got the Jasper on Kickstarter and love it. Worth it for us because it keeps food and drinks off the table. Makes playing more comfortable, make pieces much harder to loose (which is more of a problem when you have kids and pets). I've only done it once, but we can leave a game set up and put the table toper back on.

Yeah, there's an expansion that add a 3rd round. And a car version that includes the expansion. And the part that interest me the most: Metal coins

Pentago is just a more difficult/complicated 5 in a row game. We moved the kids to it as soon a possible after Connect 4. The box is also much bigger than it need to be.

had the best type of gaming this weekend: unexpected! Family stopped by and we played some games

  • #Codenames: Duet - still haven't won, it's so difficult
  • #Tiny Towns - Still having fun with this game, haven't even considered buying the expansions.
  • #For Sale - Still debating on the Kickstarter for this. It's one of the games I play the most that I down own
  • #The Agents - Finally got this to the table, not bad, need a few more plays
  • #Blurt!
  • #Dragon's Gold

and I wached the kids play:

I like all of the suggestion I see, but every now and then I'd to see something different. Like comparing the top Star Wars games (even though the mechanics may  be different) to see which feels more StarWarsy? Star Wars-ish?

Compare the top ranked games by different designers. Compare the best and worst version of Pandemic to each other.

Creaking Shelves does this on their youtube channel.

I'd like you to mention cost, playtime, and player count, as that make a big diiference sometimes.

yeah. I've played a few games that required food, but the were really social deduction, bluffing games.

Not really a theme, but I haven't really seen any great games that involve taste smell or touch.

just change 'books' to 'games':
