  • Very overwhelming and almost insultingly under-produced for the price, FCM manages to make up for it tremendously in game play.
  • After two games, I'm still having trouble figuring out how to do well in the game. I've got the rules down at this point, I just don't know how to put it all together yet to do well.
  • not the game i was hoping for, but understand the high rating for it
  • This was a tough one to rate. I respect the design a great deal, but it's simply too much of a muchness for me to want to play it more. I will happily do so if one of my groups brings it out and wants to play it, but I won't be the one suggesting it.

You're actually making me question whether this is the game I'd get first haha. I already found #Trickerion on a good deal recently and snagged it, because it was my most desired game (I'm a sucker for MindClash games).

So I'm updating the game I would get to either

#The Reckoners Board Game,

#Cerebria: The Inside World, or

#Food Chain Magnate

Thanks for making me think about this, Bob:)

I am interested in #Food Chain Magnate and I see you have been playing online, what site do you use?

Super curious about #Food Chain Magnate. It seems crazy expensive for the theme somehow, even though that's not logical. Would love to play but can't bring myself to spend the cash.

Let's see...

I played #Tags with my future in laws last weekend and got in a few games of #Monikers and #5-Minute Marvel as well. Pretty fun time with all 3 although I think Monikers is their new favorite.

Then at some point during the week #Paladins of the West Kingdom arrived so my fiance and I tried that out. Scored pretty low from what I could tell so it will take some more plays to optimize moves better. Even with the low scoring, it was a close game!

#Food Chain Magnate also arrived. I was fairly sure my fiance would hate this one so it was a pleasant surprise she actually enjoyed it. We played it twice, once on Wednesday and once yesterday. We both made some rookie mistakes so we'll see how we can better our play moving forward.

Finally, played a couple of games of #Codenames: Duet online. Nice way to end the week!

My most recent additions are#Food Chain Magnate and#Paladins of the West Kingdom. I'm probably most excited to play more FCM because I was pleasantly surprised my fiancé actually liked it!

Oh wow no way! I just picked up the ever expensive#Food Chain Magnate so I guess this will make that hit to my wallet more palatable?

I really like 3, 4 & 5 on the list, haven't played the others. I really like #Food Chain Magnate as a heavier abstract

Absolutely, similar to something like #Food Chain Magnate, which is complete information and entirely abstract, and it is a lot of fun as there is a significant amount of player interaction.

Also, I enjoyed playing #Pipeline which while it does have some small random elements, it is mostly abstract.

I really enjoyed #Food Chain Magnate as a surprisingly thematic abstract game. There is absolutely no chance and complete information but it maintains a lot of the narrative and immersion that abstracts often lose.

I tend to get too AP when playing abstract games, getting lost in efficiency so while I do enjoy that, tend towards games where you have to just accept that you can never be sure
