Agonizing dice drafting. There are never enough dice to do everything that you want! So very many paths to victory. Looks beautiful on the table, although it takes a little too much space.

So many pieces to setup. Once we were setup it did not feel super dynamic. Would I play again? Sure. Am I going to be the one to ask? No.

Played a demo game at AIrecon '18. Various ways to score VP's, very well designed with lot of ways of mitigating the luck due to the player action drafting. Would like to know more lore behind each player. That may be in the rulebook.

A very fun, puzzly, open game with so many choices it’s a little mind boggling. The rules are simple to follow, except I keep having to refer to the production phase summary to make sure I remember to complete all the steps. The production & illustration are great—I especially love the thematic quotes & art inside the rule book.

This is a fun dice-drafting game that has enough ways to grow your empire to keep the game exciting. My main criticism of the game is that it's too much of a point salad - you never really know whether you are doing well or not until the end of the game, and I have still not figured out the best balance between the diverse actions you can take. In each game I have played the person who won at the end surprised everyone, suggesting that it's just not clear to any of the players which strategies will work best. It's still engaging and fun, and I like playing it. But, the lack a clear single objective to strive for and against which you are competing with other players limits the degree to which the game rewards strategy versus rewarding players who have figured out the puzzle of how to get the most points from the large number of diverse objectives you can chase.
