This has taken multiple false-starts simply to get the game rules down solid. The game provides a deep appreciation for what many brave young men did on that day against some incredible odds. The second part of the game bogs down almost instantly for me. It's almost anticlimactic in two ways: First, it's brutal enough just getting off of the beach. That in itself is a challenge, and the game masters the feeling of dread in that endeavor perfectly. It's sheer brutality. Second, the rules governing the fight inland are different, and the sheer volume of new ideas that are presented in the rules quite literally put this back in the box once the beach phase is pretty much through. One day, I'll have more patience for this... this is STILL a fantastic title.
