I had high hopes, but in hindsight they were based on the (widespread) irrational assumption regarding Labyrinth's expected similarity to Twilight Struggle. TS is fundamentally clean, this is obtuse; TS is tense, this is frustrating; TS makes you cherish every OP, in this they go to waste; TS lets you compensate for bad draws, this is fixated on getting 3 OPs; TS lets different players pursue different agendas, this is a see-saw; TS had interesting events, most of these events are loaded with ridiculous preconditions. Even on its own merits, Labyrinth is not so hot, even on a 1-deck game. Too long, too unfocused. It reminds me a lot of Wilderness War insofar as they share some of the same flaws.
