In the 19th century engineers, visionaries and financiers built the rail lines that first made the modern world possible.
Steel Driver features the construction of the American railroad network. The name Steel Driver goes back to John Henry. He was one of the "steel drivers" who used mighty sledgehammers to pound holes into the rock.
In Steel Driver each player takes the role of an investor, who pours massive amounts of capital into the developing railway network. The players bid for control of railroad companies, which then bring in money. After five rounds a special final settlement takes place in the end to determine the values of the different railway companies. Whoever has the most money at the end is the winner. Do you have the makings of a true "steel driver"?
