Terrific abstract. Very dynamic; both players send in pieces from every direction. Meanwhile, you have to worry about trying to capture opposing pieces, preventing your opponent from capturing of your own, and making sure you will keep a steady supply of your own pieces coming back to you. Add the extra wrinkle of the gipf pieces on top of that -- can my opponent capture my gipf pieces? is it worth the risk of pulling one off in order to gain the two extra pieces in my reserve? -- and you have a game that puts the mind through a yoga workout.
A great game. Frustrating at first, but becomes much more fun as you work out a strategy. The other games in the project are also excellent and the "potentials" are a great addition to the original game.
