Knizia is back, I think, and I'm overjoyed. This has all the hallmarks of Knizia's auction and card games--the desire to defer cards for later but the inability to, the necessity of knowing when to spend big and when to hold bag, the wonderful scoring... A delight.
Definitely has the Lost Cities "problem" of the deck distribution being huge, but it's more forgiving (no penalties, duplicate low cards) so you can afford to take risks. This also means it lacks bite, and the auction itself isn't too interesting.
