Played the first two scenarios, which interestingly enough, don't include any merchants or barbarians! First one introduces ponds or lakes and an extra commodity--fish. Nothing special, even with the extra 2 vps for getting the Harbormaster (basically like the Largest Army and Longest Road, but for 3 or more Harbor settlements).Second scenario introduces a couple rivers, which provide gold when building next to or across. Gold is used to buy more resources or richest player gets VPs. Again, nothing too exciting here. More of the same, just a longer game. Or was it just the other players taking a long time? Who knows.
