Can you unite the clans amidst the tumult of war? Age of War is a fast-paced dice game for two to six players by world renowned game designer Reiner Knizia. You and your fellow players assume the roles of daimyos competing to unite the warring clans of feudal Japan and assume control of the nation.

During play, you muster troops by rolling seven custom dice, and you use. these troops to lay siege to one of fourteen different castles, each of which requires you to assemble a unique combination of troops in order to conquer it. Castles grant points towards your victory, and you can gain more points by uniting an entire clan. The daimyo with the most support at the game's end is the victor!

  • Very light game. Too lucky and random for my taste. Also don't like the meanness of stealing cards from each other. Kiera liked it though, and I'll play it.
  • Did I ever hate this game. I bought it because it was five dollars. This was before my complete ban on dice games, which I would like to make retroactive. The stupid kids like King of Tokyo though so we have to keep that one. Anyway, Age Of War was just rolling dice against yourself and putting them on tiny square cards. It was supposed to be about samurai or something. I don't know...I hated it.
  • Great filler game. To me it really is similar to Kings of Tokyo but lighter(didn't think that was possible) and can be played pretty quickly. I also love how compact it is so it makes it easy to travel with and to just play with anyone.
  • Secret Santa 2014 Plays a bit to long for what it is for my tastes.
