2-7 players, c. 30-45 minutes, medium heavy, card draftingNice addition to 7 Wonders base game, adds a bit more interaction to the game. As we barely play the base game, there's probably no need for me to hang on to the expansion, so considering to trade this away.
Awesome expansion. What the first one should have been. It adds variety to the card mix without adding an entirely different mechanic or phase of the game as Leaders did. Cities for the win!
I think this may be my favorite expansion because it adds a variety of new cards/iconography to the decks dealt to players. I would recommend this expansion over the other two but just know that some of the cards feature icons that only apply to gameplay including the leaders expansion. You can just set these cards aside until you get the leaders expansion too!
This is an expansion I can take or leave. I won't object if the rest wants to include it in the game, and I won't push for it if they do not want to play with it. It adds interesting cards like the spy (copy a science symbol from a neighbor) or the embassy (frees you from wars at the end of that age), but the amount of Cities cards in any game is too low as to really impact the game in our experience.
