Big big fan of this one. It lived up to my personal hype and has become one my new favourites. I love how you can play the perfect turn using your trains in just the right order - very satisfying. I have played it with 2 and 4 players and enjoyed the game at both levels, leaning towards liking 4 best because of more player interaction. My only complaint would be that the rulebook could be more specific to clarify certain situations that can arise.

With only one-page rule, there is so much depth in this.

I think the rating might rise with more plays, but it suffers from the same thing as Five Tribes, board state will change drastically before your turn so planning ahead is often futile, and once it is your turn you have a complicated puzzle to solve. AP could be a huge problem with this game. All that said, I adore combination of route building with a meaty euro.

It’s super straight-forward to play, with interesting decisions and a hint of analysis paralysis—just what we like. We love how simply it flows and how, really, all you’re doing on your turn is moving your trains. The graphic design and illustration is simple, functional and really well done.

Grew on me. Took me a while to realize its a race, not an optimization puzzle...but still an optimization puzzle, but its about SPEED.
