  • Dice allocation with the (thin) theme of Star Trek. Nice that they included characters and events from both TOS and TNG. Scales to different difficulties, so you can make it harder as you get better at it. Still a co-op, and possible for one player to dominate if you're playing with such a player.
  • Limited replayability value. Liked the theme and co-op gameplay.

Mostly solo plays for me this past week:

Root - I played 3-handed solo on the Mountain Map as the Cats, Lizards, and Otters. The closed paths and center pass made for some interesting decisions. I plan on printing the Crows/Moles sometime this week and trying them out as well!

Lisboa - I got this to the table twice this past week; once with the normal solo mode, and once using a variant someone designed to tweak the official solo mode to be less static. I really, really enjoy this game. It’s a masterpiece of game design. I’m really looking forward to Vital’s next game: On Mars.

Star Trek: Five Year Mission - Played this over lunch with a co-worker. It’s not something that I would ask to play, but it was fun enough!
