Maybe I've just played too many of these "capture one column by doing the most of a thing" kind of games but they're all starting to blur together. This one didn't do much for me so I dumped it but it wasn't bad. Just not remarkable.
Win the game by either getting 11 points of Geisha Cards or by taking 4 Geisha Cards. Three rounds consisting of four actions: keep 1 card for scoring, remove 2 cards, opponent takes 1 card and you take 2, and make 2 pairs of cards letting your opponent choose one and you take the other. It's quick, simple, and makes for some interesting choices. Despite that, I wasn't in love with the game. If someone suggested it, I would play but I wouldn't seek it out.
(11/17) 7. If there's one thing I've learned about myself doing these ratings, it's that I love a good, tight card game and this is certainly that. The only thing that keeps it from a higher rating is the fact that I rarely play 2 player games and the possibility that the odds might be stacked against the first player, though that's yet to be seen.
