I'm definitely in. My choices constantly change.... But it would probably be something from GMT or Sierra Madre Games.

Hey, this is a fun idea. I look forward seeing everybody's list.

I also will go ahead and give the same caveat that @philryuh gave, namely, this list is liable to change at a moments notice. Also, these are in no particular order.

About the list, I am limiting it to games that you can currently get. So, I won't put a game like #Pax Renaissance on the list because that is very out of print. I also am steering clear of games that I have preordered or kickstarted, this keeps #Pax Pamir (Second Edition) off of the list, whereas it would otherwise be sure to make it on.

As you can see by my list I have become more and more intrigued by the idea of games with historical themes. They don't have to be wargames, but they have to be well themed, not just a pasted on them.... In other words, I aknowledge that #Puerto Rico is a great game, but it is essentially a abstract, I am sure that #Concordia is awesome, but I doubt that it has a good Roman theme......

  • #Falling Sky: The Gallic Revolt Against Caesar OR #Gandhi: The Decolonization of British India, 1917 – 1947 I know this is a cheat, but, they are both high on my wishlist, but I would probably not get both. They are both entries into GMT's COIN series of games. This is a series of games that I have a lot of interest in. They are, I understand, big heavy complex games.... but they all have fairly sophisticated bots to allow for solo play. Both FS and Gandhi are a little bit on the lighter end of the COIN scale, not light, but a little bit on the lighter end. And, I recently picked up #Pendragon: The Fall of Roman Britain on a sale, and that is purported to be the biggest, baddest, most complex COIN of them all. So I would like to have something a little bit lighter to balance it out with. The theme of both of these games interest me highly, but I imagine that FS would beat out Gandhi for theme, but Gandhi has a innovative new card-based AI instead of the normal flow charts.... So I don't know which one I would go for.
  • #Pax Porfiriana by Sierra Madre Games. I love the time period and the subject of the Mexican Revolution against Porifirio Diaz. And the cards on this wild little game drip with theme. Ricky Royal, on his Box of Delight's YouTube channel, did a runthrough of the solo mode that he modified slightly from the official one, and it looks like a lot of fun. The fact that it comes in a quite small box, is icing on the cake.
  • For my last pick I am going to go with another Sierra Madre game, either #Greenland, OR, #Neanderthal. These are big, heavy, and mean dice games in teeny tiny little boxes. I understand they are fairly similar but Neanderthal is considered by most to have a better solo mode. However, I would probably go with Greenland just because the theme interests me much much more. However, if I saw a really good deal one one, or the other, I would probably jump on it without worrying too much which one it was.

There are several that narrowly missed the list.
