Line of sight can be traced onto a dark tile, but not THROUGH a dark tile.
It is considered lights out. No more line of sight and (most likely) the first person to get to the Doctor will win :) No one can see your murder attempt. They can still attempt to stop you with clover cards but the game is going to end very soon after the deck runs out.

After playing X-Wing, I quickly learned that these types of games are not for me. I have respect for the design of the games, and I like the miniatures, but calculating line of sight is just not something I ever want to do in a game :/
At least I learned before sinking a lot of money into it.
