Work on the design of the German Tiger I Tank began in 1937, just before world War II. During the roughly two years that the vehicle was in production, only 1, 347 were built – a number that is lower than the monthly production figures for the M4 Sherman and Soviet T-34 at the height of the war. The first copies appeared on the battlefields around 1942. The vehicle was very highly rated by both the crew and its opponents. Although, after August 1944, production of the Tiger I was phased out in favor of the Tiger II. Today, only seven Tiger I tanks survive in museums and private collections worldwide. This new construction block set from COBI faithfully reproduces the historical body and details of its actual original. The Tank will be a great decoration for every military collector and a great gift for fans of the world of tanks video game. This Tank features many movable elements such as the turret, which can be rotated and moved vertically, opening hatches, through which you can investigate the engine compartment, a mobile machine gun, and spinning Wheel and caterpillars.
