  • 1 play. This is a very fun game. This is what a pirate game should feel like when playing it. You find a ship/captain/crew and equipment and head out on the high seas to find plunder and raid other ships, whether they are friendly or enemy. Bring the booty home, and repeat again until someone has collected enough booty to be declared the most feared sailor on the high seas.I feel like it supports a lot of player interactivity (at least in the one game we played so far) in that I look over and see another player has a boatload of silver. I'm sending a pirate out that way.Because you burn through the card deck at such a fast pace. You are never short of options to do.Some Cons: There is a bit of a downtime issue. Especially with four players, of which all were new to the game. You have to wait for your opponents to complete their turns, as well as all the cards, which are screaming to be read throughout the game. Alot of this, would of course be fixed by more plays as we start to know what we want to do ahead of time. Also, I kind of wish the cards better differentiated between flavor text and game text similar to the way CCG's do. Flavor text or history text could be italicized or/and at smaller font after line spacing or toward the bottom of the card/text box area. Game text should be at the top of the text box and in a larger more normal font.
