Millennium Blades is a board game about a fictional collectible card game, which is also called Millennium Blades. You begin the game on pre-release night with just your starter deck. You'll open new packs, form collections, and sell your junk cards on the aftermarket to buy hot new cards. Trade with your friends, build up your deck, and prepare to compete at Millennium Blades Worlds for the title of World Champion!

This is a game about competitive deck building. You get a limited pool of cards, and then you tinker them into the most unfairly over-powered, table-flippingly broken deck that you can imagine. And your deck had better be pretty crazy, because your opponents won't be giving any quarter, and they all have unique collections with access to their own high-tier power cards. In addition to deckbuilding, you'll be speculating on blind pack buys, selling and buying cards on the aftermarket, and fusing your cards to make rarer and better ones to get an advantage over the competition. You might even make a few friends, if you're willing to help them out.

  • I like this game, but play legnth and my wife hated it. had to sell it.
  • What a stupid wild ride. Love every second. An absolute nightmare to set up and tear down.
  • Great fun, a good bit of randomness but plenty of ways to mitigate it through trading, ENDLESS replay value because you just get so many card sets to work with. Also has a great sense of humor, with sets parodying all kinds of shows and movies and video games and even just concepts.Downside: shuffling a deck that big is HARD, also making the Millennium Blades money wads when you first open the box is a chore that takes HOURS. Not for everyone since the trading phase is all real-time, if your players can’t go with their gut and make snap decisions they will flounder helplessly and run out of time all the time. Leans a little heavily on the Yu-Gi-Oh parody without giving equal time to Magic and Pokemon and others.Trust in the heart of the cards to see you through.
  • Bought this to try and scratch the MTG itch. It's great fun, and even my friends who haven't payed CCGs got the jokes and the metagame. The art and in-jokes on the cards are great, and it's such a satisfying package.
