The 7th Continent is a cooperative game of adventure, exploration and survival, for 1 to 4 players, inspired by the adventure books where ”you are the hero“. It’s also, thanks to the support of over 12,000 backers, one of the biggest board game worlds ever created!

The game became a reality thanks to over 12,000 backers, but the cost of making such a game is so high that a retail version is almost unfeasible. However, we wanted to give you another opportunity to get your hands on it: your last chance… to get cursed.

The Expansion “What Goes Up, Must Come Down” invites you to come and discover, or perhaps return to, The 7th Continent for some fresh adventures! Two new curses are waiting, each with their own unique gameplay elements, for you to discover.

In “A Prison of Clouds” you’ll find yourself aboard a Hot Air Balloon, in search of salvation and in “The Veins of the Earth” you will delve deep below the Continent in order to triumph over the Evil consuming you.

  • Our first try! Good fun trying to get the hang of the rules. We died playing the voracious goddess curse 😂 will play again 👍
  • I have been playing this game 2 player, And we have really enjoyed it a lot. I can see why people might not like it, But for us it was one of our favorite games to play. I wouldn't recommend playing with more than 2 people though.
  • one of the best game out there. Open world that let you figure things out and leave you begging for your life (cards) that get the best of you. Everything is up to get you in this world. you have to survive in order to make it. each curse is a different adventure on a familiar territory.
  • some pretty bad box damage

Hello all!

1) I found the site via mention by one of Alex of's recent videos. I'm kind of surprised, given the quality and purpose of the site, that I hadn't discovered it before. Glad to have found it though.

2) I've been in the hobby in one way or the other for close to forty years or so? I've been a fan of games of all kinds for as long as I can remember. I'm happy to see the emergence of niche games coming to the fore during the last ten years or so.

3) Three games? #Too Many Bones, #Star Wars Imperial Assault, and #Arkham Horror: The Card Game have secured top spots, but I also am looking forward to checking out #The 7th Continent, #Aeon's End, and #Gloom of Kilforth: A Fantasy Quest Game.

Thanks for the opportunity to introduce myself to the community, and I look forward to participating more here in the future.

I'd like to get #The 7th Continent as I usually play solo and I love the theme.

Looking for trade for #Paydirt and #Sierra West and interested in attaining #Raiders of Scythia, #Paperback, #The Quacks of Quedlinburg, & #Near and Far.  I have #The 7th Continent with three expansions (smaller ones) that I'd swap for #Maracaibo, #DinoGenics, or a combination of above options.

It's funny, recently I took a look at my collection and realized I had leaned towards more co-op/semi-co-ops in my collection.  The funny thing is that I don't necessarily prefer co-op games, but that I really love adventure/exploration games and those seem to favor co-ops. Basically, I love the story the game is creating so we get less caught up in the competition. A couple of games that fell into this category are Eldritch HorrorT.I.M.E. StoriesGloomhavenDead of Winter: A Crossroads Game and I'm anxiously awaiting The 7th Continent. Of course, I do have Spirit Island which is just pure co-op. I just added Clank! In! Space! to the collection and am looking at Inis to get some competetion back in the collection.

I wouldn't be against a competetive adventure/exploration game, it just seems like there aren't many out there.
