Jaipur, capital of Rajasthan. You are one of the two most powerful traders in the city.

But that's not enough for you, because only the merchant with two Seals of Excellence will have the privilege of being invited to the Maharaja's court.

You are therefore going to have to do better than your direct competitor by buying, exchanging and selling at better prices, all while keeping an eye on both your camel herds.

A card game for two seasoned traders!

  • Our go-to 2P game and one of my favorite games. Lots of strategy in this game. One reviewer accurately stated “you make your own luck” playing this game. It’s all about timing. It is very important to watch your opponent, keep track of their points, know how many cards they have, how many camel they have, and have idea of what they are holding for cards. With that information, you assess the market on your turn and calculate what move is most advantageous to you and what would be least advantageous to your opponent. Make the opponent refresh the market when it’s advantageous to you. Sell single items to pluck off high points or to delay drawing a market card. Go for big bonuses when you can. It's critical to keep track of the draw deck and/or coin piles and bring the game to a quick end once you know you're ahead on point!
  • The choices to make are deliciously nail biting. One of the first short 2-player games I bought and still enjoying a lot.
  • --Apr2014-- Perhaps a bit fiddly to set up; but the decisions on the fly are intriguing. This is pretty cute; I'd be happy to play more.
  • Excellent. My wife and I played this twice right out of the box. It's really easy to get the idea behind the game, but as you play, you realize there's alot more going on. It's light, but bright. It's the best 2-player card game I own.

Well I'd also recommend #Kingdomino, #Jaipur and #The Fox in the Forest . My gf always wants to play those 3. All simple and fun to play.

those are some good ones! #Jaipur has been all over this page lol

what do you like about point salad?

#Sushi Go! or #Sushi Go Party! are always fun. I also enjoy #Jaipur for two players. I also recently bought #No Thanks! and #Point Salad but I haven't had the chance to get them to the table yet. They both look really good and spoke well of in reviews.

We have fun with #Monopoly Deal Card Game , #Exploding Kittens and #Sushi Go! . A couple others that I play online are #Lost Cities and #Jaipur

I'd also like to try the #Dale of Merchants series as well as #Flipology

What about #Exploding Kittens?  That one is always good for some quick fun.  I like #Once Upon a Time: The Storytelling Card Game as well, but I think that one is more dependent on your group.  Oooh and #Hanabi and #Jaipur

Card games aren't my best category, but I just tried #Truffle Shuffle at a friend's house and it was really good!  My wife loves card games, so I'll follow this thread, but some others we have that we like are #Biblios, #Diamonds, #Skull King, #Illusion, #Sprawlopolis, #6 Nimmt!, #No Thanks!, #Lost Cities, #7 Wonders Duel and just got #Jaipur.
