One Night Ultimate Werewolf is a fast game for 3-10 players where everyone gets a role: One of the dastardly Werewolves, the tricky Troublemaker, the helpful Seer or one of a dozen different characters, each with a special ability. In the course of a single morning, your village will decide who is a werewolf... because all it takes is lynching one werewolf to win!!

Because it's so fast, fun and engaging, you'll want to play it again and again and no two games are ever the same.

  • A common favorite among my group. the various characters can be swapped out in between games to make a different playing game each time. It's very short and features no elimination, so when the game is over everybody is ready to start a new round.Usually played over and over again while we collectively integrate new characters into each playthrough.

  • OK game - can't see playing this with less than 6 people - and can't see playing this more than 2 or 3 times with the same group

This is really cool and not something I've seen people try to quantify often. Just wondering, did you give some consideration to number of plays versus time spent? I'm curious about which would be better or if it's possible to incorporate both, because it'd be hard to compare sessions of, say, #Twilight Imperium 4th Edition to #One Night Ultimate Werewolf. On the other hand, I think very few people actually track time played per game.

1) I think the perfect collections start with a variety of games that can appeal to a variety of audiences. However, it's important that they be games you enjoy, otherwise you won't want to play them. That said, I'd start with:

2) Two I've wanted for a while are #Ora et Labora and #Euphoria: Build a Better Dystopia. I've seen copies of those pop up at my FLGS, but they are always when i've spent my budget already and they are snatched up before I can get them.

I prefer the games that make it to the table most often.  For the gamers in my group that means #Gloomhaven.  For the non-gamers, #Cosmic Encounter and #One Night Ultimate Werewolf.  I think I would put the $200 towards #Cloudspire or an epic, story-driven game like #Oathsworn: Into the Deepwood.
