The players slip into the role of rich patricians in ancient Rome. Everyone is trying to build a lucrative district to score as many prestige points as possible. Grow bountiful herb and vegetable gardens. Cultivate ponds rich with fish. Build lavish villas and various other dwelling for your servants. The day is your to seize and the city ripe for rebuilding.
Carpe Diem is a tile-placement game set in ancient Rome. You must adhere to the motto of “Carpe Diem”. Seize the day by harvesting grapes and catching fish, then sell these wares on the market to make money. After each phase there's a scoring period.
