Send out the scouts!  Position the Flagship in tactical orbit and reconfigure that Battlestation into something new!  Your fleet of loyal ships, powered by the might of quantum probability itself, carries your empire to the far-flung stars. How will history remember you? As a ravenous destroyer? A clever tactician? A dauntless explorer? Command your armada, construct world-shattering technologies and rally the remnants of humanity for a final confrontation.

With elegant mechanics, an infinity of scenarios and easy-to-learn rules that lead to deep gameplay, Quantum is a one-of-a-kind game of space combat, strategy and colonization that will satisfy both hard-core and casual players.

Quantum won the 2012 Game Design Award at the IndieCade Festival of Independent Games, as a prototype game with the title Armada d6.

  • The rare randomness that remains in this game actually fits the theme of quantum physics, and arguably improves the game as a result. One of those instances where rolling dice really is an appropriate design solution. And the rules are just as brilliant as they sound-- in fact, more brilliant in action. The three-actions-per-turn in conjunction with the ship abilities, card effects, and multiple ways of placing cubes leads to a beautiful dance on the board, a delightful back and forth of ingenious combos. The one caveat? I am inexcusably bad at this game. And I don't feel as compelled to return to it as I should be. Maybe I'm just tired of rolling dice?
  • Weight: 2.46 / 5
  • SOLD, September 2015.I liked it, but the game weekend/bar night boys did not love it well enough to get it onto the table often enough to justify the shelf space. It was always second choice to other games.
  • It's certainly elegant with nice components, but a little abstract for my liking and the 4X theme is pretty tacked on (unless we're all supposed to be playing Borg). It runs quickly though and there's some fun to be had with puzzling out the numbers and movement, even if I totally missed that I should have won the game with a special ability.

you is stuck bro. It could be like #Quantum, they might be coming out with it again but a completely different theme and then itll be lost forever...........

I dont know if id consider them my GRAIL games, but they are out of print nonetheless:

#Quantum

#Caylus Magna Carta

As far as grail game I want to own they are:

#Troyes

#Le Havre

Le Havre is somewhat hard to find, but both are just hard to find at a decent price below $45

#Quantum is a game I have never understood why it was not a bigger hit.  Have you played it?

Man there’s too many...

I like almost any game with player boards and chunky/custom dice...

#Quantum has these and it’s a great looking game.

#Roll For The Galaxy is amazing in terms of components for these reasons too. Plus the cups and shields are really fun to have.

#Space Base is cool with the evolving player board, however it is very inconvenient to tuck card after card.

Have you tried Tak ? Placing and shifting tiles to create roads; extremely relaxing for me.

Also, Quantum might fall into this category. It's got a theme, but it's similar to Santorini in that respect.
