I prefer games without it. But... I do like to be able to have access to it when it aids my solo games (which I have to do sometimes).

I honestly avoid it like the plague. I play games for a multitude of reasons (community, strategy, fun) and one of the big reasons is to get away from technology and to just be present with friends. I know a lot of that can be accomplished with technology still but I just prefer to have it be good old fashioned cardboard!

Piggybacking on this question: what is your favorite app-integrated game? Mine is obviously Imperial Assault.
I don’t mind technology being integrated. Definitely enhances the experience and makes it more immersive. See Imperial Assault, XCOM, Mansions of Madness, Journeys in Middle-Earth, etc.

I feel it's only a matter of time before something like this becomes real and mass market. I don't mind it. If AR characters replace plastic miniatures, I won't lose sleep. I also vastly prefer this over virtual reality board games. At least in AR you can interact with everyone at the table.
We talk about board games here. Games like Codenames, Catan, Root, and all your favorites. Posts can link directly to games and everyone is welcome to join the discussion.
