What's your favorite game that you don't own?
I hope that each of you own your overall favorite game, but what is your #1 game that you don't own? Hopefully a friend of yours owns it so you can play it! I'll put mine in a comment.

For me its #Nagaraja. A fun two player game that plays quick, is easy to learn and hits a nice medium-light headspace with fun player interaction.

Yeah, I know it's a tad old, but this topic seems like the kind that should be a constantly updated, evergreen thread. I don't feel bad about the small resurrection. :)

Oh definitely! 100% agree. I think my answer now would be #Paladins of the West Kingdom

#Paladins of the West Kingdomis a great game and was on my short list. If I didn't have #Viscounts of the West Kingdom on the way, there is a real chance it would have been my #1 choice. Top the top three I had to choose between were #Nagaraja #Paladins of the West Kingdom and #Captain Sonar.

#Between Two Cities - I really like the game, but after picking up #Between Two Castles of Mad King Ludwig I didn't feel like I needed both in my collection, so I gave the former to a friend.

Interesting, I don't own either but have played both, I feel like while the scoring and drafting mechanics are identical the actual decision making and puzzle is very different. At least in my head.

It's been a while since I played Cities, so I can't really give a detail explanation here. I just remember thinking that the decisions were similar enough and that the ones in Castles were more interesting. I felt like given the chance to play one or the other, I would always choose Castles. Also, though this didn't really factor into my decision, the friend I ended up giving Cities to is one of my primary gaming partners, so if I ever do get the urge, I can easily play it.

That makes sense, you might very well be right. I probably wouldn't buy both either.

One of my best lates has almost everything and is painting the whole shebang.
Why would I bother buying? :D

In my gaming group I own all the games so I don't really think I ahve anything that applies to this. I do want to give #Dominion: Second Edition another run someday if it comes up naturally, but if I didn't play again I think I'd be okay with that as well.
Even though I haven't actually played it, based on other games I like, I'd say that #Architects of the West Kingdom would probably fall into this category for me.

#Betrayal at House on the Hill that my friend owns. It was my gateway game into the hobby, so it will always have a place in my heart. It's a really gun game for a laid-back game night, too.
This is an interesting question. Unfortunately I am the main person in my group who acquires board games. So if there is a new game we want to try, typically I am the one to get it so we can play. Basically I’m saying that I haven’t played any board games that I don’t own. So my answer is “the next one”.

I feel like I'm kind of the same person in my group, my other friends don't have a lot of games. I don't mind it though

Yeah I don't mind it either, I love my games. It wouldn't kill them to buy some on their own, though

For me it has to be #Fief: France 1429. I know it has some issues, but I really love it.

#Brass: Birmingham. I've played it three times, all using other players' copies. I've enjoyed it thoroughly every time. I just bought #Brass: Lancashire, which is arriving Thursday, and I'm curious to see how different they are.
