What are your personal picks for these award show categories I just made up?

Just to be clear, these nominations won't be counted and there are no awards lol I was just bored, and thought this might be fun, and a nice way to get to know any new users joining us. If you're newer to the hobby, just pick whatever categories work for you and skip the rest.

I love lists!  I'm sure no one will be suprised if to see one game feature heavily on my list...

Allow me to submit this as a more readable template before I come up with answers of my own:

  • The best overall design: #Root
  • Your best memories: #Root
  • Best cover art: #Scythe
  • The best euro: I'm not sure that I even own a Euro
  • The best quick game (30m or less): #King of Tokyo
  • The most fun you can have with your clothes on: Ummm what?
  • The first game you loved: #A Few Acres of Snow
  • The best game you can can fit in your pocket: #Sushi Go!
  • The most immersive experience: #Root (the asymmetry just makes you need to drive in so much and really know what others are trying to plan)
  • Your most played game: #Root
  • Your favourite components: It's close between #Root and #Clans of Caledonia, but Root edges out because of the unique/screen printed meeples, and the card quality
  • The 'to put it politely, I can't fathom how anyone can enjoy this' award: #Catan and I really don't have any interest in roll and write games

Great list. There's something I'm still not clear on, though... are you a fan of #Root

I've not heard of Rajas, how did you come across that one? What do you enjoy so much about it?

Don't remember where I first heard of Rajas, probably from either The Brothers Murph, Gamenight and/or Man vs Meeple.  What I love about the game is the end game trigger.  There are two tracks in the game - money and fame - that go in opposite directions around the board.  The game ends when the markers for each track cross pass each other.  I've seen people win by pushing the money track 3/4 of the way around the board, by pushing the fame track 3/4 of the way and by doing both tracks 50/50.  You can get some nice combo's and each turn is pretty quick but there are plenty of meaty decisions to chew over.

I don't thing the game gets near enough love.

Lots of blindspots for me on your list. I have played just two games from all of your nominations! Would especially love to play #Ra one day.

This is the newest release dueling game on kickstarter from 2019. It is best play with 2 player! But it can also play up to 4 player! The game has a lot of mode including 1v1v1, 1v2 and 2v2. It is basically city building game and dice rolling to acitvate the ability of card. It requires deep strategic compare to luck especially when you play with different modes for the game. The objective of the game is to destroy your enemy (12 Life of Palace) or Gain 18 Culture Points to win the game. So you need to play either Culture Race when your opponent is weak on offense or switch from Culture Race when your opponent has very strong offense card on their territory. The cards have a good arts illustrator and the component quallity is very good as well. I really love the mechanics of the game as it really changes for every game since it is bases on your opponent strategic and the arts of the cards also very pretty! Here is some sneak peek for the game components.

Cool, thank you! I'll take a look at some videos about it, because that does sound interesting.

Nice, I'm always interested in good 2p games since that's how the majority of my sessions go down. I will look into this one.

This is so tough... some of these I could swap between 2-3 different games at any point!!

Great list. I'm buying #Camel Up (Second Edition) for my family this Christmas, so I'm glad to see it recommended. #Viticulture: Essential Edition also climbs up my wishlist each month... sounds like it's been a real winner for you. The solo mode is supposed to be very good.

Best overall design was a hard one for me. What factors do I even consider? I ended up considering my games holistically, but I guess that prompt could be taken as just the game design, apart from components and other things like that. I have no idea what my answer would be lol.
