First off, I'm always going to check out certain publishers games.  One of them is Kolossal Games because I love their first ever game Western Legends.  I would like to qualify my opinion by saying, I've had no interest in any of their other games.  They didn't look too good to me, which was surprising because of my experience with their first game.  I sometimes feel like they were just trying to pump out games.  Having said that #Ruination looks like it could be up my alley.  I also love to read design diaries.

What do you think?

Cool theme, how did you end up finding out about the game?

Edit: Ah, nevermind. Oh and I remember reading posts about Kolossal Games last year where two of their campaigns got suspended by Kickstarter due to violation of certain rules.

Oh wow I didn't even hear that.  They are a little binge crazy with KS.  I heard about it because I follow them on social media.

I have some problems with their ks business model.

Yeah I agree.  I was saying something in another post, but while I love Western Legends I would have been just as happy with it if I had waited on it to hit retail.

The fact that they want to push out so many KS (about 1 month) is not great to me.  So while this game looks cool I'm sure I'll wait for retail.

They don't have time to develop all their games with that sort of schedule.

I think that's part of the problem.  I think they sell themselves as having all these ideas in the works and they are just staggering the KS launches.  But I think it leads to games not being well thought out.  I think Western Legends was strong for two reasons.  It was their first game so they took the time to develop it before starting the company.  It was their first game and they wanted to create a customer base.  Thankfully I've had no interest in their follow up games.

I'm in the same boat. A lot of interest in western legends and non for their later releases.

There second one was #Kami-sama and it looked soooo boring.

I had considered getting that one, but decided against it as soon as I looked at it.

That one's great.

Looks sorta cool. I would be a little scared of game bloat.

This is exactly what happened with Western Legends.  All the Stretch Goals were just extra stuff (cards mostly) and lame "upgrades" (ie oversized dice).  They also through in a "cloth" bag that wasn't very impressive.  The game is great, the extras for backing the KS, meh, not so much.

That was the impression I got.

I create many products and often need label design. At first I did them myself, but then I turned to specialists. I chose from the best companies, if you are interested check here Thanks to them, my product became popular and in demand. I think choosing a competent digital agency is very important.
