I'm curious what sort of solo experience you prefer.

I greatly prefer playing against some sort of AI that can score points and win the game. I will play for a high score, but I generally find it less satisfying. If I play for story, I would prefer to do so with others. I can enjoy a good solvable puzzle, but generally I don't enjoy those as much.

I love competition in games playing against an AI recreates that experience for me

So, go ahead, vote for your favorite, andand explain why you voted as you did.

However, if I have to pick just one I think I'd prefer playaing against an AI of some sort because it has the highest chance of causing you to need to adapt your primary startegy mid game.

Yeah this is hard for me to pick just one.  I'd be better off telling you that the solvable puzzle is the only one I'm not really interested in.

It is a tough sell, but it can be fun until it is solved.

I think I like aspects of all of them. I love a good AI (i.e. #Rurik: Dawn of Kiev, #Scythe, etc.). And games like #Twice As Clever where I try to beat a score is also good. But, I don't always like beat your own score games. I think story, for me, might be my favorite. But a good AI is always a pleasure.

What are some stories you like?

I like #Proving Grounds because you're playing out the end of the story that's included with the game. The gameplay itself isn't the best "story" ever, but it's a nice integration. One that is basically #One Deck Dungeon 2.0 is #Diceborn Heroes, and despite being pretty basic, I always enjoy playing it. It takes you through various narratives (small as they are) throughout the game/quest. It's a fun little game!

I think my favorite one has been #Pandemic Legacy: Season 1. The narrative of that capaign really affects the game as a whole. I' desperate to get #Clank! Legacy: Acquisitions Incorporated played, because I'm confident it'll be my new favorite.

AI as well. I like puzzles but when it comes to soloing a physical board game, I need something more compelling to get me to break out the game. Puzzles on apps are fun but it easily leads to addictive behavior for me lol (e.g. Candyland app)

I much prefer AI, the high score aspect is quite unsatisfying...

AI all the way. The better the AI, the better the experience. I love playing multiplayer but don't always get to. A good AI helps to replicate that experience and allows you to play your games solo!
