Despite the dumb art, Cthulhu Realms is still my favorite.

Both games are really tightly designed and great to play. I just have difficulty getting them to the table due to the generic themes and art. While a lot of people don't mind that stuff, it definitely makes it harder to get non-gamers involved.
I find that weird since Star/Hero Realms is like the perfect beginner game. And can play up to 6. It is like Magic/Yugioh Lite...lol
Yeah, absolutely. I just find that a lot of people outside the hobby have a negative perception of stuff like Magic. I'd love a simple deckbuilder with more of a unique theme. Hardback does a decent job of it, but the gameplay isn't quite as tight.
I say...you say to them, just give it a round or 2 and if they dont like it you could stop playing. Usually when people give it a turn or two they realize it is not has hard as they thought it was gonna be.

Star Realms for life. Really though, Hero Realms seems neat but I find all the blood cult stuff distasteful.
I think the classes are more structured in Star Realms but I like the variety in Hero Realms.
I used to love Star Realms until I got into Hero Realms. To me it just feels better. Any other opinions?
