My gaming group played the first 2 games of this right before all the Covid BS.  We haven't been back together in person since.  :(  The first 2 games were great and I am eagerly awaiting the next time we can get together to play.  I would love my own copy to play with one of my other gaming groups as well.

I have Clank! in Space and I like it. I don't have any legacy games, but this sounds like it would be one I'd enjoy a lot.

I'm torn. I dig Ascension and the idea of legacy games, but I've never found the right title. Maybe this is it?

Owner6 months ago

Does that mean you haven't played any legacy games yet? #Clank! Legacy: Acquisitions Incorporated was my first and I've been enjoying it. Have you played a Clank! game before? Feel free to shoot over any questions!

Legacy games, yes indeed. They just don't seem to go the distance with us--something like Dragonfire was an utter disaster even though it should've been a winner. Long, heavier titles are welcome (including favorites like Lisboa , Star Wars: RebellionConflict of Heroes: Awakening the Bear!) so it isn't really about time commitment either. The concept of growing a character and watching our decisions impact the overall narrative is something my partner and I love in video games. Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion might be a candidate, and I'm giving Undertow a shot (not stricly legacy though.)

I haven't played any of the Clank! series and had no interest until Acquisitions was announced.

Cheers!

WHOA! How fun!! I would give it an 8/10 on my interest. I have constantly heard good things about he game and this feels like the ultimate of it!

Owner6 months ago

That's a pretty high interest level! And... I take it that you have many games around that level then lol

Good luck!

Mmmm I probably have like 4-5 games at an 8 interest level at this point! Not too many, I try and limit my mind from wandering too much lol

Cool! I want particularly interested until you started talking it up, haha. I don't have any legacy games but I'd be keen on trying one!

I'll take that as the beginning of my path toward "influencer" status xD

At 2p count, it's a strange mix of game vs player, a little bit of competition while also feeling a little like a co-op because both of you want to explore a bit, and so on. The legacy part tends to disrupt the flow a bit but it's great. Hope you check it out at some point (or win the giveaway!)

Huh, interesting! I don't know that it'd be my first choice for a legacy game if I were to purchase one myself, but it's on the list! Seeing how much @nealkfrank has been enjoying #Aeon's End, the legacy version of that's got to enter into the list as well!

I am a big proponent of it :) it has really been a hit for my wife which has just amplified the experience! I can also say that the legacy aspect of Aeon's End does not interrupt the flow of the game, a lot of that aspect comes in between scenarios. There's some small things here and there in the middle of the game but I'll let you figure that out :)

I began listening to Acquisitions Incorporated after having watched Dune and The Chain on MCDM. I listened to/watched all of the Acquisitions Incorporated enjoying the transition from Patrick Rothfuss to Bobbie Zimeruski but lost my way with the new technology, changing personnel,  and other teams so I have a soft spot for that Penny Arcade vehicle.

Clank, on the other hand, I have only played once and didn't like much. However, watching playthroughs of Legacy (luckily, I have no memory!) signalled it as far more interesting and I would relish ownership of this Clank incarnation.or any others of its Acquisition's line.

 Cheers

I've not played any of the Clank! games before, although heard a lot of positives about it. The only Legacy game I have played is Pandemic Season 1 which we loved. I am not sure how I feel about competitive legacy games, but open to giving it a try. Have you would that it becomes increasingly more uneven as you play multiple games or are there catch-up mechanics?

My interest level for this one is a 10/10, I have found that randomness and luck move from a slight nuisance for me to something I really enjoy when it is in the context of a campaign or legacy game. My only issue with Clank! is that sometimes you just really get buried by a bad draw, but within the context of an evolving story that adds excitment to the situation instead of the cringe it induces in a one off game. That was my biggest takeaway from my experience with Pandemic Legacy and it has carried over into other legacy games as well. The thematics of the situation make a huge difference for me personally on certain mechanics it turns out and I really enjoy Claink! and see this as a game that will take some of the situations I'm lukewarm on and make them shine.

Awesome giveaway with an amazing prize! I'm a little more interested in#Aeon's End: Legacy but this should definitely drive some new people to the website!

It's on my wish list. I've got Clank! and I'm about to introduce my kids to it. I'm hoping they can play it well enough that the Legacy version is worth getting.

Owner6 months ago

That sounds fun! Hope your kids like it. I feel like they'll really enjoy drawing the Clank! cubes out of the bag

I'm curious about it. I have Clank in Space and have put half a dozen plays on it. I imagine there are others with more interest though.

I have heard Clank In Space is the best option for this series. thoughts?

I own base Clank, the Mummy and Underwater expansion for it.  I've played In Space.  Honestly, Space is probably best if you have a group of medium to hard core gamers who want a little more game play and interaction.  Base Clank and its two expansions are best if your group is more of the Intro/Beginner to Medium weight gamers.  All of its good though, just depends on what you want from your game/game night.

I definitely have more of a medium/heavy group so Space would be the ideal, thanks!

Clank in Space is by far the best one I've played. But it is the only one I've played, so I guess that means it is also by far the worst. ;)
