I’m so excited for this. PARKS has been a go to game for me and my wife for the last few months.

I'm glad to hear this plays well at two. No need for a dummy player?

The art alone is just incredible.
It's the first game since #Viticulture: Essential Edition that has really gotten me excited to play because of the amazing components, art and theme.

I'm going to get the base game as soon there's a price drop after the reprints. Hopefully all the way down to $35 at most haha. What's your impression of the game so far?
$35 sounds good Phil. Make it so.
It's a good solid Light-Mid weight game that provides an interesting twist on worker placement. It was my first kickstarter backing and I believe Keymaster games did a very nice production. I mainly backed it because it had amazing art and was about one of my other favorite hobbies...hiking. After watching a couple playthroughs of the game I felt like it had enough game play to be intriguing enough for me to like (it had to be tough to make a board game about hiking in parks). I haven't been able to bring it to the table enough for multiplayer games and have mostly played solo. The solo really surprised me with how crunchy each movement can be in the game. This is all provided by the movement of the bot (the Rangers). It is one of my favorite solo games to play. I wish that I could play it more with others though.
It has good variability overall with all aspects of the game and that gives it a good replay-ability aspect. The beautiful production of the whole game is a good bonus. Mechanics work well, although still testing that out in multiplayer form. It doesn't produce a wonderfully exact thematic game (which I love thematic games) but granted the game is about hiking in national parks so it's a bit hard to carry that throughout but I believe it does very well at having that theme where they do. I think the biggest hook for me in this game is that it is a good worker placement game put into a fun, beautiful setting, and that works for me. Also, I usually play more solo games than with others and the solo version works really well in this game. As mentioned above every move is a wonderful brain exercise.
I have initially rated this game an 8 out of 10 (solo rating would be higher) but this could go higher with more multiplayer plays. Will have to wait and see.

Definitely a fun one. very accessible and GORGEOUS
Oooohhhhh excellent! I just a copy of this for Christmas so I will for sure keep an eye out. Hopefully it adds some additional variability.
Exactly my thoughts. I'll be getting the base game when the price is more reasonable :)
The price is a tad bit high for sure.
