What games do you like, but no one else does?

Humor
Is there a game (or more!) that you are embarrassed of that you like to play?

I like Imperial Assault. There. I said it. It’s out in the open.

Ha! Totally judging you

I’m ashamed. But it’s such a good time.

Well I’ve never played but I’ve always wanted to! Haha

Great post idea.

Monopoly Deal Card Game

Farkle

The Farming Game

Dealer's Choice

Non of these are good games. But there is a lot of nostalgia tied up in them.

Nothing wrong at all with Farkle. We love Farkle here.

Same here! Gets a lot of laughs

Monopoly Deal is right up there on my list of games I like that not many others do. It's actually pretty good! We also enjoy Farkle in this home. My sister is a huge fan of The Farming Game, too.

Haha I totally get that. Sometimes nostalgia is all it takes! I’ve never played farming game or dealers choice.

Played a Lot of farming growing up.

I’ve never heard of it! Maybe I’ll check it out! Haha

Warning.... It is not a good game. I find it fun. But, I imagine it is because of nostalgia.

Haha noted!

Here’s my list:

uno

skip bo

monopoly deal

dragon wood

I think these games are nowhere near as good as others at the top of my list, but I thoroughly enjoy playing these with my wife and non-gamers. There’s always high energy and laughs (also depending on who you play with).

Ugh Skip Bo.

Uno is great though, nothing wrong with that at all.

I will say it takes a minute to get me to play skip Bo because of how long it takes... but I enjoy it! Haha

but uno is great because it’s JUST the deck and only one discard pile

I play Uno so much these days it's unreal haha My brother-in-law has down syndrome and autism, so Uno is our go-to game when he needs a break, so during church we'll leave and find an empty room, during youth night we sometimes play, and at home he's always down for a game. He got Uno Dare and Uno Emoji for Christmas, too, so there's a hint about how much he loves it haha Even after playing with him countless times over the last year (and more), I still enjoy playing it with him.

Dude that is super cool. It’s neat that the game can help him in those situations. Some of the “terrible games” are honestly my favorite because of the memories they create because of the people you play them with. Thanks for sharing man.

Agreed. I don't hate monopoly like many others do because I've had some amazing times with it. I'll still poke fun at it, but it's not out of a need to hate it haha And most people who play Uno as much as I do would probably hate it. Heck, i probably would too if it weren't for playing with him. He makes it a lot of fun and I always have a good time playing with him. Sometimes it's about the people you play with.

100%. The community, friendships, and great mementoes made through certain games literally the only reason I’ll play a game haha

Right. I've played some fun and AwESOME games, but with the people we played with, it wasn't very fun. Then there have been times when I've played some games I would never choose to play (i.e. Killer Bunnies) but had a fun time playing it because it was with family and/or friends. Board games are all about people.

I’ll also add exploding kittens to this list haha

I love Uno. I have very fond memories of playing and can't wait to drop a Draw 4 on each of my kids.

Supporter10 months ago

Lol. When it works out and you are holding Draw 4 wild as your last card... so satisfying.

Haha seriously no better feeling than that

Haha brutal! Seriously so much fun tho. I think it’s nice to have a variety of games, because deep strategy doesn’t always mean you’re going to have a great time or experience.

I agree 100%. My sweet spot is light-medium games anyway. I can play and tend to do well at heavy games, I'm just not always interested spending the time needed to play them. I'd much rather play a simple game I like for hours.

We are very similar!

That’s one reason why I love roll for the galaxy, it’s not heavy and you can play like 3 games in a night. Definitely not a game I’m embarrassed about though haha
