Man I would love to try this game. I don't actually own any co-op games, and I'd like to get one or two, but this seems a bit heavy for a first one to buy. I'm thinking #Horrified would be a fun place to start.

I keep keep forgetting about Horrified. My wife liked Forbidden Island quite a bit so I'm thinking of getting another co-op with a bit more meat to it. I thought about #Forbidden Desert, #Pandemic: Iberia, or #Horrified. #Spirit Island would be my dream pick for later down the road (at the same time, I'd like to have a co-op that's less complex than Spirit Island and with gameplay under an hour.

I think Horrified seems like a great choice, if the theme appeals to you in the slightest. For me it's the most interesting theme of all those you mentioned, and from what I gather, it's fairly easy to learn, and you can ratchet up the difficulty by adding more monsters.

So @philryuh are you considering this game yet?

Definitely considering. I always like variable player power mechanics and I think my wife will like the game a lot too but I'm hoping the game length won't be longer than 2 hours on average. If I were to buy it I'm thinking maybe next year.
