Also my wife kicks my tail at Kingdomino, especially 7x7.
The 7x7 is great but somehow more stressful, haha.
It is for sure more stressful, but I much prefer it at 2 players.
I appreciate you not mentioning that you won in RFTG...wait...
Haha, you said it first! But I'm sure there was a bit of beginners luck going on :)
My beginners luck has officially worn off then and is transferred to you!
Haha I was the most beginner-y!

Played some #Mouse Trap, #Azul, #Mille Bornes (x2), and a solo game of #Star Wars: Outer Rim. Also did some Jackbox TV games with the in-laws via Zoom last night.

Some classics mixed with some modern there. I'd like to try Star Wars: Outer Rim at some point.
Outer Rim is awesome. Best with four players, but still great with two or playing solo.
Wow, Mouse Trap. Haven't seen that game in a LONG time.
I bought a copy at a thrift store quite some time ago and now my kids are old enough to play it. I'm in it for the contraption. My kids love it so it's a win in my book haha
Mouse Trap makes me think of this video from one of my favorite youtube channels back in the day
hahaha That's awesome! That would have been a fun one to shoot.

I played the game total of one game this week. My 3 year old son and I played one game of #Forbidden Island. He continues to be able to make better and better choices on his own, but he still needs me to be a bit of a alpha gamer. We managed to grab all four treasures, which made him super happy, unfortunately, the landing pad got sunk before we could get there, so we did end up losing.
I bet you he loved every minute of it. Some great memories are going to come out of it. :)
i do love it, but, it does sometimes cause some frustrations.
Believe me. I understand!
Sounds like you've got a little gamer on your hands!
I hope so.
Three years old and playing Forbidden Island is amazing! My four-year-old likes it as well. I find, at least with him, that it does him good to lose at games every now and again. I don't want to crush him every game, but honestly my kid does need some humbling haha
I hear that.

#Raiders of the North Sea - First time, it was a lot of fun. The action exchange kind of system is very interesting.
#Azul - Played again and this time sister-in-law wiped the floor with us. I mean...absolute demolished, she was 104 to 2nd place of 69.
#Scythe - I am so torn on this game. I like it but there are some things that just feel...off. I don't know. Need more games before I make any major conclusions.

I finally played my brothers copy of GKR: Giant Killer Robots. Not my normal fare - seemed a little random, but would be keen on a second game now I know what I'm doing. It was a reminder that teaching new games is a skill in and of itself, and needs to be considered... and that maybe he needs to work on it a little. I gave him some hints though.
I lost by destruction.
Also, spent a fair bit of time working on my prototype '2056: Race to the stars' (which may be renamed). It's going to be a cross of the share game/other mechanics from Chicago Express, the market inspired by Power Grid with some pick up and deliver and a little exploration. We'll see if it works.

My two year old kept asking to fight the "Ghosties", so we pulled out a game of #Ghost Fightin' Treasure Hunters. Only put out three gems, so it was short enough to hold his attention. We both really enjoyed it!

I started the #Charterstone journey with my wife this week and we are through 2 games and enjoying it. Games have been very tight with her winning the first and me snagging the second.
we left it mostly set up on the table for game 3!

I recently got #Too Many Bones: Undertow and been playing a lot of recently. Really loving it. My first real exposure to the TMB franchise
