Ooh, tough question. I guess... Z-Man? Z-Man is the most represented publisher in my collection, and they're not half-bad games! Pandemic, A Feast For Odin, Gaia Project, Carcassonne, Love Letter, Citadels. Other games by them I'd be interested in are Merchants and Marauders, Voyages of Marco Polo, Akrotiri, Chinatown, a bunch of Uwe Rosenberg, Stone Age, Terra Mystica, Lowlands, and Tigris and Euphrates.

That's a good one... I hadn't thought of them. Dang it! Too many good games

This probably doesn't count but.... I would pick Asmodee as long as I could continue to play everything they owned.

Supporter11 months ago

ahahaha! ok but which company inside Asmodee's cavernous insides would you pick from there?

Supporter11 months ago

loopholes!

Supporter11 months ago

He didn't say anything about not using loopholes....

Supporter11 months ago

Ok Ok, I will think about it.

Supporter11 months ago

haha looking forward to it

Supporter11 months ago

Lol. Don’t they own like half of board gaming?

Supporter11 months ago

More every year...

Apparently after they had acquired all those companies, the company that owned Asmodee put it up for sale.

I guess I'll go with Rio Grande so I can at least play El Grande, Notre Dame, and Puerto Rico.  I'm sure I have others of theirs in our collection.

This is basically going to be the same as my Designer.  It's a toss up between Stonemeiar and Leder.  I think Leder would edge it out in the end.

I think u/rancidmike has convinced me to go with Z-Man.

Does that make you happy u/jamesreid860?

Supporter11 months ago

I am happy :-) . Z-man is  a good one. so many good games there.

It is still a tough choice. They don't have my favorite games. They have a lot of good solid games, with a lot of variety, but not my favorites.

But, if I went with Stonemaier, which I love, I would give up so many games I love. And, they don't really have any good "fillers" that might change, but, I need to have some access to games that play 30 min or less.

Same deal. Z-Man doesn’t publish any of my top 5 (Concordia, Inis, Great Western Trail, Brass: Birmingham, Anachrony), but they publish enough really good games that i wouldn’t feel at a loss for options.

Zman has been popular

So you like inis. I would like to play it, I think I would like it. I hear the game sorta stinks at two, is that correct?

Supporter11 months ago

I looooooove Inis. It's honestly a little out of left field for me, but it's such a smart and challenging design. I would say the more people you can play with, the better. However, I like the game at two--it's a different puzzle for sure. With more players it becomes a political game where war is always around the corner. With two players it's more of a cold war chess match. Highly recommend. Also recommend the expansion, and I'd go as far as to say that the "We need a king" module is almost necessary for some groups.

Supporter11 months ago

That might be enough to put it back on my list get list.I'll need to think about it.

Supporter11 months ago

Inis has always looked interesting to me too

Supporter11 months ago

Well that’s the point of this question. To put you in a situation that would never happen and make you make an impossible decision .... for our entertainment. Muahahha!

Supporter11 months ago

There you go.

Just so long as you know it...
