What area (state/country) are you from? (not trying to be a creep)

It's exciting to see this community growing, and it made be curious: where are you from? And which board game have you been enjoying a lot recently?

I'm from San Luis Obispo, California!

It's well known for its college, California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly). We also have a brick and mortar store called Captain Nemo that sells a very wide range of classic to modern games, comics, music, etc.

My recent favorite game has been Root. Love the gameplay and the artwork is something I constantly find myself admiring while playing.

I am in Oregon just outside of Portland in a town called Newberg. We are well known for our wine and our density of churches.

Awesome! My wife and I did a tour starting from the Bay Area in SF toward Oregon in our second year of marriage. Crater Lake was an amazing sight

Haha looks like you're done fine. You know I always wondered, is board gaming an expensive hobby if you're in that area?

Well, I don't know how to compare it to the states, but yeah, i think it's kind of expensive. I own about 250 games right now, so yeah :) My kind of boardgaming is expensive :) I think most games are a bit more expensive in europe but not too much in comparison with the US. I think the main difference is the community. The community in the US seems so much bigger, it's hard to find it here. Even in larger cities it's not very common.
