FFG shutting down their community forums
Huh, I wonder what is going on with that.

Probably just a cost cuting measure, which I wish companies would just be honest about.

I never spent much time there. But I did go there occasionally to check out the forums on games I was researching.

It is really interesting and depressing to see the implossion of FFG in general :(

They layed off quite a few employees and have lost the rights to Star Wars minis specifically, now they are shutting down a forum. I am sure they might still be producing games, but they are making a lot of cuts organizationally.

looks like I misread it inititally. They are moving it to a different studio.

Wow, that's surprising. I thought their X-Wing series was really popular? I wonder if Disney is planning on taking all that in-house.
Ok I looked it up. It's all related to Asmodee's control over FFG. Asmodee is moving control of X-Wing, Legion, and Armada to a new "specialty" studio called Atomic Mass Games. A lot of the people currently involved with those games will be moved to that new studio. Doesn't seem like it has anything to do with Disney.

I bet Disney probably had something to do with pricing FFG out of that specific industry!

Maybe they have a me on the forums who's causing a ruckus and requires forum shut down to shut them up lol
