As the title says, which game should I solo next? It's been quite busy so I'm in need of a little push to get in some gaming time and write-up of my first impressions. I have two other games I could solo but I'll leave those for another post! Both of those games are prototypes of 2020 Kickstarter games that didn't get too much attention: #Techlandia and #Glory: A Game of Knights.

Anyway, please help me out by picking a game and let me know in the comments why I should go for it first! :)

Pretty tight race :) I vote on Empires of the north, I haven t played it but it feels like it can be interesting playing solo.

I went for Agricola, it is the game I am most familiar with. I know a few people who had a lot of fun soloing caverna (the kind of sequel) would be interested to know how that game compares solo vs multiplayer as then you wouldn't have people blocking your spot so you could plan a lot of moves in advance and produce some really satisfying combos or if that lack of certainty and not having to be flexible would suck some of the life out of the game.

I voted Agricola because it is a classic and you need to get it to the table!

Root is the only one on the list that I have experience with playing solo. Would love to hear some thoughts on Tapestry solo. I haven't picked the game up yet, but its on my short want-list.

You forgot to add Gloomhaven, which is the only answer.

Haha!

Although I actually said Tapestry because I’m really curious about its solo mode.

Tapestry would have been my other pick but I don't really have any interest in it anymore, so....

How's Root solo been going for you?

It hasn’t hit the table for a while. And now it’s behind Mage Knight, Gaia Project, Feast for Odin (with Expansion) and Empires of the North.

That's a lot of gaming to get to for sure.  Enjoy!

Even just punching Gaia Project was fun. I’m going to punch and organize Mage Knight tonight after work.

I also find that really satisfying, getting to the unboxing.  I'm a little disappointed that I haven't gotten to making more of the Root storage solution.

You know what I chose.

We both have a heavy hand in getting Root to the #3 spot on the BGA most popular games list lol

I voted for root, because that is the game I am most curious about.

I played as the Eyrie (the Birds) last time so I'll probably go for playing as the Woodland Alliance vs. two bots.
