I'm still debating whether or not it's worth it to post alternative playing options on YouTube. I've leaning toward not doing due to the time consumption. I backed Tiny Epic Dinosaurs and look forward to playing that later in the year (or perhaps the print and play earlier). I am leaning toward getting a copy of the Deluxe Rococo depending on the cost. I think my 11 year old daughter might enjoy playing. I may try to dabble in playtesting some games if the opportunity presents itself.

Playtesting is something I sorta wish I could be involved with.

I restarted my daily yoga habit with Yoga with Adriene on YouTube. I like to do her short yoga routines a few times a week, but have fallen out of habit. She does a 30-day yoga challenge in January so it's great to get back into it. I would like to move more in general -- walking (little easier now that I have a smartphone and can play Pokemon Go or listen to podcasts easily), and dancing (I'm a hula hoop dance teacher). I would also like to get into a daily or almost daily art habit even if it's just sitting down for a few minutes a day to make marks in my art journals. I got out my half-finished Snoopy jigsaw puzzle after a long break and finished it the other night and have another one started. I have a pile of fun new ones or new to me ones, so I'd like to do more of that. And more boardgaming!!! Okay, and maybe a few more hours in the day. hahahahahha
If you figure out how to add time to your day let me know.
Ha! Will do!
Looking forward to hearing from you. LOL

I wrote about the 3 things I want to accomplish here.
One of them is board game related. My wife and I are going to do a 10x2 challenge in an effort to play more often, just the two of us.

I also need to resolve to buy no new games. I know it's crazy but I feel like my collection is basically complete for the time being. For how much I want to play the games I already have/will be getting. I am going to back Oath but try to stick with just that this year. Maybe Fenris.
That is a noble goal.
I have to do it. I have games I really love that I want to play again and again, so why add to that needlessly. I'll just have an ever growing wish list, haha.

Dang 50 unique games is a hefty goal!
I’d like to see some of the art!
Yup! I reached 20 unique games in the span of about 6 months so it might be doable. As someone relatively new to the hobby, there are so many classic games that everyone seems to talk about that I'll never get to with our regular group. I'm going to see if I might be able to play them digitally at least.
Hope to share one of my illustrations within a month or two haha
I think you should be able to do it if you have regular enough game group(s) it's only a new game a week.
So cool, I look forward to seeing them!
yeah I guess it would really depend on the group, and also how often there are new games within that group! Still, sounds like a fun goal!

I don’t necessarily do resolutions for gaming. I’d like to play every game I own at least once. I’m also thinking about doing some sort of 10x10 for just games I want to play with my wife over the next year.
I like the idea of including your wife.

Play every game I own. Sell or trade the ones that I don’t want to play.
Win the BGA contest at least 3 more times. :)
That’s pretty close to my goal! Besides the contests haha
I would like to play every game I have at least once. And I’d like to play my top 5, 5+ times. I’d also like to get a little bit more solo gaming in. Foregoing watching shows when people are asleep in my house.
Actually I’d love to cut late night TV in general to read even more as well.
The reading and solo gaming actually sound really could, I might do that too!
Great plan. I'm hoping do more leisure reading in Spanish.
Good plan Scott.

I'm going to cut back on reviews this year and focus on what we already have. Doing reviews is great, but when you're constantly playing different games, you start yearning for your old favorites.
I'm also planning on developing my game enough that it can be blind playtested.
Those are my board-game-related goals for 2020.
That sounds great! What kind of game are you developing?
It's a deckbuilder utilizing battle mechanics. Each character has a number of units (i.e. dragons), each with a special ability and varied stats. The cards determine attack/defense, and there's always an opportunity to defend an attack rather than immediately take damage. With some other things thrown in there. I have high hopes for it, but we'll see. :)
