Petersen Games, because Cthulhu Wars is Huge. Garphil games, because Shem is a great designer.
Fowers games, because his stuff is always unique and interesting.
Red Raven Games, because Laukats art is pretty awesome.
Those are the major ones I can see on my shelves.

Floor space, it would have to be Renegade Game Studios. As for actual number of games from one company, it's a close race between Gamelyn Games and Renegade Games.
:O you put Renegade games on the floor! How dare you! ;)
Well this is awkward...haha Actually, they're all on shelves. No, wait, that was a lie... Proving Grounds is on the floor because I'm out of room. Trust me, I don't like it being there, but I don't have anywhere else to put it. And everything is organized in such a way that replacing it with something else would throw off my groove, and I simply cannot have that.
Hahaha! It’s ok. I’m not judging you too much ;)

Without looking, I think it would have to be Mayfair, I bough a number of their games when they went out of business.

Why did they go out of business? Weren’t they fairly successful?
They were but if I remember right, I think that they were bought up in the Asmodee purchasing spree and instead of keeping the company they were absorbed by one of the others.
I might have it in mind wrong. But I thought the owner retired and didn't want to sell the company. He had built a name he was proud of and didn't want anybody messing it up. He did obviously sell rights to many/most of his games though.
I might be way wrong, but that was my impression.
I regret that it looks like the story I had in my mind was wrong. I regret not looking it up more before posting. It does look like Asmodee did buy them, and it was up to them whether or not they used the Mayfair name.
Of course, maybe I am wrong again. But this is what five minutes of Google searches has given me.
Sigh. Oh well.
When I have time I will look into it more.
I like that story better so I hope I’m the one who got it wrong lol
Ah! Good old Mayfair. I remember them.
Yep, I was sad to see them go.
Fantasy Flight Games, no question.
Rebellion, Imperial Assault, X-Wing, Outer Rim, XCOM..
Nice! I wish I had a few more of theirs. Rebellion is high on my list and I'm going to have to get TI4 one of these days.

I'm trying to watch some more Outer Rim videos to see if it might be up my alley. I wish I had liked X-Wing but I just didn't. I also think I'd actually like Armada even though it seems to have similarities to X-Wing but no way do I have the money to get into that. Also, I don't think I'd care much for Legion. Correct me if I'm way wrong but to me it sort of looks like X-Wing with ground forces.
Edit: I'm watching Outer Rim videos in anticipation of my $60 board game win, haha!
But Outer Rim is really cool! I played a single player game and we will play it 3 player tonight at my game group.
How was it solo? Solo (no pun intended) is something that attracts me to games. One thing I haven't seen in the videos I've watched so far that I think would add to my interest level is a bounty that is up for grabs among all players. Creating some tension trying to fulfill the bounty first.
I agree that would help. I can't decide if this one is good for my group or not
It’s my turn to repeat with the $60 win!
haha! Well, if you do win, you'd better get Outer Rim, or all those minutes watching Outer Rim videos will have been for naught!
Yeah, I think Legion is ground-combat X-Wing. I decided not to look too heavily into it just in case I caved. Prevention is the best medicine, after all!
I would agree with the Legion/X-Wing comparison. I would totally get into Armada if I had someone to play with enough. Ben, when are you moving up here?
Considering we just moved here a year ago, chances aren't good for another move anytime soon haha Of course, you could always move down here :)
Sorry, we can’t move. My girls have a pediatric nephrologist that is here at Mayo Clinic that we have to see once a year for their kidney disorder. Plus both of our parents are right here too. So... that leaves it up to you!!
Well, considering we moved here to help out my wife's mother who has an autoimmune disease and her brother with down syndrome and autism, we're gonna be here a while. So...I guess we're hosed haha
Gosh, with my X-Wing, Destiny, and Outer Rim, FF might actually win for floor space. Curse them and their wonderful games anyway haha

I don't own many games. If I were to buy a lot of the games that I'd like to have, then my guess would be either Stonemaier Games or Ledger Games (assuming that they keep coming out with expansions for Root). I could also see Garphill Games getting lots of love because I'm very interested in their lineup of trilogies (North Sea, West Kingdom, and future ones)
All good choices. Those are my kind of games too!

Stonemaeir for me at this point.
Right on! Which one is your favorite of theirs?
If I'm only counting base games then Stonemaier, but with expansions it'd be FFG.
FFG gets me. Every time.
Haha yeah. It's only because of IA for me. But I have like 3 - 4 mini expansions and 2 big expansions which is why it jumps to the top of my list.
Yup. Plus the board for Rebellion is massive.
FFG is an expansion machine. And I'm all about expansions lol
I am as well. As long as it adds to my playing experience. Sometimes I want to just get all the IA mini expansions just because. Gotta watch that wallet though.
Yeah its expensive but I'm always down for an expansion
I’m a huge completionist so getting into IA was a bad idea for me, but getting all of those allies and villains will be quite fun. Eventually.
I'm wanting to get my Brother In Law, who's a gamer and doctor into IA so he can get everything and at least I can play it lol
That was me when X-Wing first came out. I made sure to get one of each ship, just because. Then Wave 2 released, and I did the same thing. Once wave 3 came out, I began to realize the tactics behind the releases and became more conscientious about which ships I bought. Good thing, too, because there are a lot of them now.
I’m glad I didn’t get into X-Wing beyond the core set. I know I would love the game but I don’t have anyone that I could consistently play against.
This is what makes me nervous about getting into Xwing. I know that I'll want it all.
Renegade games for now. Zman is close behind.
What are some of your favorite Renegade titles?
I would be curious to learn as well.
World's Fair 1893 Is a good gateway game as well
Clank! A Deck-Building Adventure hands down. Clank! In! Space! is great too! I keep saying that I own the full line but they keep coming out with expansions and I'm falling behind!
We talk about board games here. Games like Codenames, Catan, Root, and all your favorites. Posts can link directly to games and everyone is welcome to join the discussion.
