Mechanica is a game with some amazing things going on: the brilliant puzzle piece mechanic, the clever box insert, the superb art and design of everything in the game. The rules are light and streamlined, and the strategy is deeper than you'd first imagine.
However, on your first play, it's too swingy, and on subsequent plays there is very little joy of discovery. That puts the game into a strange spot for me. If you want to hear more of my thoughts, check out my Mechanica review. Thanks for checking it out.
