I'll have to check this out! I had plans to play Root for the first time before isolation was required, so watching another how to play video will be helpful, I'm sure.

Same here i literally had plans to play it the week before isolation , we assigned everyone a faction to learn then BOOM no more game nights .
Bummer! Which faction were you assigned? I got the Vagabond.
The Marquis. Whenever theres an asymetrical game that we have to split up to learn i like to give everyone else the choice of faction then take whats left , upon learning how to play i think i lucked out , but sadly itll be a while before i can test my theory.
Nice. Yeah if it's my game, I usually take the approach of "I'll take the most difficult one," because I want everyone to have a good time do they play with me again haha.
usually i do that as well but since it was gonna be the first time i gave everyone a basic rundown of how the factions worked then let them choose . we did the same for #Vast: The Crystal Caverns and it seemed to go well .

The 4 main characters are very balanced the Thief feels very tacked on but it's still playable just doesn't feel like it was part of their original concept.
