Good episode. One question I didn't ask, but was hoping to have answered is, what was @trentellingsen s high score? Was it 37? Did he score higher than that?

My highest score when I was playing a variant where I don't stop when the deck runs out was 137 yes. When it was pointed out that the rules say not to reshuffle the deck and just stop when it runs out my highest was 101.

Was that an official variant, or one you just now created? :)

It's one I unfortunately made up thinking it was the real rule that made games take an extra 7 minutes each for the first 72 sheets, haha.

Haha oh man! No wonder it took a lot longer than expected! So which rule set do you prefer, yours or the official one? Obviously if you’re playing 100 sheets in one go, you’ll choose the official. However, if you were to play just once, which would it be?

Definitely the way I played the first 72. It’s a lot more fun and satisfying to go for a full filled out sheet.

Cool. You should submit it as a variant. After all, you have play tested it for countless hours :)

Lol. Great question Ben.

Gotcha. Good deal. Well, I'm glad you still like the game :-)

Cool to hear my name mentioned! Glad I could keep you company throughout your marathon Trent.

Great episode! You guys are getting better and better at making these episodes.

Thanks Brian! It was interesting because we got to the studio completely unprepared and were still feeling the effects of the marathon haha. To add to that Trent proposed changing up the format and have me asking questions and building on top of things he would share. It works out for me since I've been serving as a teacher for my church's youth group and that's pretty much what I've been doing for the past five years haha. I think the next episode will be better since we'll be a bit more organized and not jumping around in between topics as much.

I like what Phil was saying about promoting people you guys interview. As a reviewer, I love promoting great games, and thereby the designer/publisher. Especially if they're small. One of my favorite publishers is PieceKeeper Games. Kirk (owner) is so nice and a great guy. I'd want to promote his games even if they weren't good, but fortunately they are good (great, even), so talking them up is always a pleasure.

And I, too, take the long way around Target to see the games.
