The 'Top 5' Boardgame Overview Videos on my Channel
Hey there! I'm a YouTuber -- I create (what I believe to be) high quality videos overviewing board games. At this point, I have about 50 overview videos for games, and here are my top 5.
Let's begin!
#1 | Spirit Island | Game Overview
This is the overview that has taken the longest to make to date. I started on a Wednesday morning writing the script, and didn't stop, except for a few food and pee breaks, until the next morning when I uploaded around 5:30am. I consider it my favorite video, due to the highlighting, the succintness of the overview, and it's just a great video to look at.
This is one of my most recent videos that I created. I'm mostly impressed at how I was able to condense that much information in the overview. The game is extremely complicated, and if I'm remembering correctly, it has seven phases each round.
#3 | Village Attacks | Game Overview
This one was a paid overview I created, and not that I don't pride myself on creating good videos whether they're paid or not, but I find this one to be exeptionally on point. Probably my second or third favorite.
#4 | Dungeon Petz | Game Overview
I created this for a patron, as you can see in the beginning of the video. It was one of my earlier videos, so the videography isn't as good as my more recent videos, but Dungeon Petz is just a super fun theme, so I find it fun to watch.
#5 | Star Wars: Rebellion | Game Overview
This just has really great videography, a cool intro, and some great fitting music. Plus my voiceover actually sounds good to me, for once. The reason it's not higher is because I put that stupid Kickstarter pitch right in the middle of it.
Honourable mention: Space Hulk | Death Angel
I don't know why, but I really enjoy this one, too. I filmed it late at night on my kitchen counter, and it was just a great time. Unfortunately, the game isn't available anymore, really, unless you get it second hand.

For playing, Spirit Island for sure. It's in my top five games of all time.

Yes! That’s my specialty. I’ll be switching to a lot more of these in the future, as I want to cover more games, and create a sort of video encyclopedia of games!

Awesome! It's one of the best videos I've made, so I'm glad you liked it.

I also watched the #Apex Theropod Deck-Building Game one, which is a game I've been mildly interested in for a while. That games seems so cool!

It’s definitely a great solo game, if you like that. The multiplayer ending was weird, but I think they’re fixing that in the collected version that was recently Kickstarted.
