Forum feature request: Pinned Comments
This would be especially helpful for "news" related posts. In updating my post about the upcoming #Dune: Imperium game, I found myself wishing I could have a comment or two "pinned" to the top, so that updates didn't get lost in newer comments from people discussing what they were reading. And now that I've added another update in the form of a new comment, it'd be especially nice to have that pinned now that the initial attention on the post has died down. Even if OP had the ability to pin a max of one comment, I think that would be quite useful. Maybe admins/mods could pin more.

@philryuh another idea I just had along this line that would be especially helpful for news type posts is "subscribing" to posts or individual comments. I'm imagining subscribing to a post and getting a notification whenever it updates (or just one, if it's updated multiple times since last viewed). Same thing for subscribing to a comment. I could see myself subscribing to a pinned comment that I'm expecting will be updated repeatedly. I think a feature like this would be super helpful when BGA is 10 times more popular and a post you want to follow will be buried that much faster.

There's a "subscribe" button that will send you notifications when there are updates on that post. I've just never used it before haha. Were you thinking of something different?

@philryuh I gave this a try, and it's not quite what I'm looking for. The current "subscribe" alerts only to new comments on a post. I was hoping to be able to subscribe to a post to get notifications each time the actual post updates. For example, on @indigopotter's deals of the day posts, it would be cool to get a notification each time a new deal was added. Same thing for subscribing to a comment - each time the comment updated, get a notification. This would be especially useful in combination with pinned comments.

Wow, TIL that I am blind. Haha! I will have to give it a try when there is a post that I want to follow! Does it alert only for the OP, or does it alert any time there's a new comment on the post?

I got caught out by the same thing last week: I requested it and then someone pointed out how blind I am!
