It looks interesting, but I’m not really into co op games in general, plus $125 is steep...

Doesn't it feel like there are so many coop games coming out?  Or is it just me?

I think there are a lot. They also seem to be hitting the solo niche.

That is probably one of the things that interest me most.

sdirrane Supporter4 days ago | 1 point[-]

Yeah that's true, solo is something I consider.  However, most of my games that are solo aren't necessarily coop games.  But I can see how a coop game is one of the easiest to scale into a solo game.

I think it seems that way. I enjoy them to an extent, but it feels nice to have a sole winner. I like when co op games have an mvp haha

I don't mind them sometimes, but I just feel like I see so many of them now.  I also really really like negative player interaction and combat.  Obviously there will be less of that in coop.

I’m the same! I like the competitive nature of games and coop takes that away for me.

Also I think the tower might be kinda cool and unique but also seems a little gimmicky to me

Marshwiggle92 Supporter4 days ago | 1 point[-]

Exactly. I'm worried I might be more frustrated with pairing it to my phone, getting it to work, etc... Than I would actually have fun playing it.

Sliddell11 4 days ago | 1 point[-]

Haha I could totally see that. May be funny but sucks the fun out of it.

Looks fun, but not for 125 dollars.

If Fireball Island is any indicator it should drop a lot about a year after the KS fulfills.

No kidding. Nostalgia meets expectations meets aftermarket.

I imagine.

Haha my thoughts exactly

I was excited about this until I found out it requires an app. I would rather board games not require apps, in light of making them future proof. I'm a big fan of the original Dark Tower, and I still think Return looks conceptually interesting. But damn it with the apps.

Marshwiggle92 Supporter4 days ago | 1 point[-]

I am not completely opposed to apps. But I do generally try to avoid them in board games.

I'm not one for co-ops and that price tag is steep, but I'd love to play it some time. That tower is something else.

Hope there aren't any publishers out there who launched their kickstarter at the same time as Return to Dark Tower and Oath lol

sdirrane Supporter4 days ago | 1 point[-]

There are other games on KS besides Oath?  Blasphemy.

Sliddell11 4 days ago | 1 point[-]

I know! Haha no one has money left after dumping everything into those games!
