Any games planned for this weekend? Solo, multiplayer, online sesssions?
I'm thinking of writing an article on nintendo switch board games, so I might be buying and trying out some of them like #Raiders of the North Sea.

My wife and I were hoping to make it further in our second run of #The Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle-earth, but it didn’t work out. Hopefully this week!

I've been on the roll with board game apps. I'm trying to experience ones that I'm either hesitant to buy or ones I won't be buying. I also think of it all as an investment for a future article topic haha. One that I bought last night was #Friday since I've heard it's a great solo game. And indeed, it is! I ended up playing it for an hour with multiple sessions (have you ever had interest in this @Marshwiggle92?)
I also printed out the Mechanical Marquise for the #Root Better Bots PnP. Hoping to try it out this weekend.

#Mechs vs. Minions #Scythe and #Tapestry. its gonna be a good weekend for gaming with my apartment mates. saturdays are keep us sane here in nyc.
I was pretty close to buying #Mechs vs. Minions 3-4 months ago. As someone who played League during college years, it just seemed like I should get it for the nostalgia, great production value, high ratings (which I didn't expect at all), and a great co-op potential for 2p game with my wife. Maybe some day! Do you regularly play board games with the people in your apartment?
Hope things are getting better in NYC. Here in San Luis Obispo, CA, there have been talks of loosening up the restrictions. The shelter in place is still in place until mid May and there will be reevaluations.
so i never played LoL before, but I always like to have a queue of board games that fit each of my favorite genres(coop, worker placement, lightweight and party) and this was the product of us finishing basically every other coop I wanted to play. I wasn't disappointed at all, and this might be in my top 5 of all time but we'll see after the new board game smell wears off.
Yea, my roomies and gf play about 2-3 times a week nowadays. It's just an amazing way to end an evening not staring at a screen(which most of us due while working remote). It's also great to have an engaging puzzle to occupy the mind and think of things other than the state of public health. I don't know about CA, but I have a sneaking suspicion that NY will/should be locked down until July or maybe August. I have mixed feelings on that. Stay safe over there on the west coast!

Hope to play. But I don't know if I'll get a chance.
Seems like you've been busy. Hope you're getting some break time!
I did play #Spirit Island yesterday. I feel like I've played it enough to start writing a bit of a review. So, I started writing, I don't know when I'll get it finished.
We talk about board games here. Games like Codenames, Catan, Root, and all your favorites. Posts can link directly to games and everyone is welcome to join the discussion.
