Considering its pedigree, this certainly creeped up out of nowhere (at least for me, in comparison to the amount of hype recent major Kickstarters had). But as you'd expect, the numbers are rising fast and... it's expensive. Anyone backing this?

I've been watching it, and I'm interested. But, not for that price, though I do imagine that it is worth it.

I have been waiting to see the completed designs for this! It definitely looks like it has a more streamlined design this time around, but ya the cost is high, but a beautiful game none-the-less!

Also they have the Cyber Truck as a meeple lololol.

I didn't notice that haha, that is funny. You're right though, the game is visually attractive. I love the "blueprint" and "concept art" style, and it seems like a less common color palette for games, which is cool.

Well it might not be exactly a cyber truck...but it certainly looks like it!

Absolutely spot on with the visuals though. Ian O'Toole crushed it last year and I am assuming with crush it again this year!

Had to look up other games he's done, and just like that he became one of my favorite game artists, haha. Everything he's done recently is so pretty. Really striking visuals!

He is kind of the go-to artist for all beautiful games now! I would say he is being over saturated but he is so talented that I am totally ok with him hogging the spotlight!

Yep! I'd love to see him to some lighter games, as most of the recent ones he's done are all quite heavy so I I doubt I'd be able to get them to the table, so I won't be buying them, haha.

I have heard Pipeline is not too complex as far as rules overhead! But it is still a 3.8 BGG weight game lol.

Yeah that's what I gathered from @trentellingsen's video about it, but the game itself didn't appeal to me too much :/

It is definitely a unique one. #Irish Gauge is probably his lightest game that he has done the art for I think. Auction heavy with some rail building.

I do like the look of that one. I'm not super into auctions, but I feel like Ride the Rails looks to benefit from the good looks but does not  include auctions, which makes me more interested. Also I'm pretty sure you and I have talked about these two before, lol.

Ha! We definitely have, I was not sure if it was you, but it was! Ride the Rails has more appeal to me now than it did! But I am still leaning Irish Gauge!

I was thinking it was pricey but realized it came with some addition maps that add value for sure. Definitely intriguing.

yeah, two games for that price with extra maps really isn't bad. Of course it's only worth it if you're actually interested in both games, lol

I am still looking into Ride the Rails more...I would love to see a play through but not much is out there. I also might be getting Irish Gauge for my bday next week so here is hoping!

That would be awesome! Happy birthday!

Thanks! Much appreciated. I am pretty sure my in-laws are getting me a game, so it is either this, #Le Havre or the Quacks expansion. We will see!

You have great in-laws! Mine got me a game expansion for Christmas, which was awesome!

What expansion was that??

Very nice! You have some good ones too lol.

Yep I do. I am very grateful. I was grateful even before they bought me a board game, haha.

Wow, that is expensive! It does look like it has a ton of different components, and they all look high quality as well.
