I'm curious what y'all will play with your family on Thanksgiving, and how your choice of games went over.

Welp, last night we played Wingspan and Twice as Clever (and another game of Western Legends was going on at the other side of the table). Today we're hoping to play Outer Rim, and I hope to get a Tiny Epic game (or two) in as well. It's always nice having big gamers in the family.

How did they feel about Wingspan?
They wouldn’t shut up about birds haha Loved it! It was so fun to play with people who are actually into birding. It actually made me want to take up the hobby, and when we get back home, I’m going to look into it a bit more. I always love introducing a new game that is loved like this on first play.

Nice. That is really something to be thankful for. I can’t get anyone in my family to sit down and play heavier board games. Enjoy for me haha. Also how many played Western Legends?
Just three of us played Western Legends. Three players is far superior to two. I’m hoping to get my game group to play it soon with four or five players.
Have you played Outer Rim multi player yet?
Yes, a few times now. I really love it at four players. However, about half the people I’ve played with are “meh” about it and the others love it. I also love it. I love the narrative that players create throughout the game. The biggest complaint is that there isn’t much player interaction. I agree that there could (should?) be more, but I still love it how it is.
We played a 3-player game of Outer Rim at my last game night. IT WAS AWESOME. Highly recommend.
How long did a 3 player game go?
So, we don't have Thanksgiving in Central America but I was still hoping to do some gaming today, in memory of all my friends who are gaming today. However, I ended my some friends of mine clean I up a property they will be moving into shortly. So instead of gaming I:
Worked at deconstruction of a outhouse,
Dug a trench,
Did a little bit of painting.
Today I am very thankful that I am not facing a imminent move.
That’s a lot of work! But very generous if you to help them like that. I bet they’re thankful to have a friend like you.
Ah, well, help many people have helped me in more ways than I can count. It is always good to pass some of that on.
As expected, we only played a couple of hands of cribbage. I was attempting to teach my 8-year old how to play. She was really excited to try on her own, but it was time to go before she had a chance.
We were running late and focused on packing our son's stuff that I forgot to bring along my Just One :(
My brother in law and his wife recently got Catan and said they played last night from midnight till 5am lol. I might go to Target when they open at 5pm and see if I should get something. Should've brought Trent's Quacks that I borrowed!
Good luck with your shopping.
